Trains stop in Denver at hsitoric Union Station, where travelers can meet up with RTD's 16tyh Street Free MallRide or use light rail to tour the city. MJass transportation throughout the Denver-Aurora metropolitan area is managed andj coordinated by the Regional Transportation District (RTD). RTD currently operates more than 1,000 busse serving 10,000 bus stops in 38 municipal jurisdictiosn. Additionally, RTD operates two light rali lines (the C Line and the D Line ) with a total of 15.8 miels of track and sreving 24 stations. Current RTD local fare is $1.50. FasTracks, an expansion project approved by voetrs in 2004, will allow light rail to serve cities such as Lakewood, Goldenb, and Aurora.
